Pedestrian and bicycle facilities

  • This project will build sidewalks and bicycle lanes along both sides of NE 132nd Street
  • Lanes for pedestrians and cyclists will be raised above street level and separated from motorized traffic by a planted strip

Why roundabouts?

  • Safer than traditional stop sign or signal-controlled intersections
  • Move traffic through an intersection more quickly and reduce congestion on approaching roads
  • Create fewer conflict points between pedestrians and vehicles
